Nurse Bones.. AGAIN

Yep, he has done it again, but this time it is the other end of his body that has suffered a trauma... Maffi has snapped his achilles tendon, tripping over ropes on the boat. Oh dear. Surgery starts tomorrow morning and marks the start of the journey along the road of recovery. Anyone that has done this, or knows someone that has, it isn't an enviable one!

In the meantime the wounded soldier is being spoilt rotten by the locals and mostly watching videos... when he isn't been taken around the county for a hair cut! Today he has been delivered to the local tea rooms, so I expect to see a very happy bunny when I get home.

He's lucky he's not married to me (for any number of reasons...) as I'm the world's worse nurse :-)

Hope he's better soon xxx

Our milkman did his Achilles Tendon dancing at Christmas. His wife was not a happy bunny as she had to do all the collections etc plus her own job. He was back on his rounds by about March I think. Which I thought was quick considering how long Rob was off with his Patella Tendon.

Awww, jeez Maffsta!!
What can I say? Sent a msge 2 weeks ago - no reply so maybe he was considering how to respond?
My msge was not worth so much consideration that he was still wondering how to reply???????? ....or was it?
Thought it was only a 'I'm back' and 'how's you' kinda stuff!!
Sure not worth breaking stuff over!
Do hope all is back to normal very soon........however I doubt it knowing this accident-prone person!

This just goes to show that dogs shoould not be allowed on Narrowboats or boats of any kind, unless it is an "old sea dog" they leave mess all over the paths and inconsiderate owner do not clear it up. Leave your dog at home or put it in kennels.
Having said this, I love your page in the Canal Boat Magazine, Bones..keep writing..

Are you going to be able to cope with Molly AND Boots?
I hope the surgery goes well and that he is recumbent in his own environment very soon.
He will need a wire coat hanger , bent in two so it's not sharp, to get down the plaster cast. OOOH the bliss of getting that itch!
I am sure he will be a model patient.Take care!

This is a dog not a human being, stop fawning over this animal, it broke a leg, it will get over it. If it was in the wild it would die!!!
