Holiday Plans

Right, time to get my head down and seriously think about where I am going to go. I have various ideas/different choices, so today is a big day of working out WHERE to go! How tremendously exciting!

10 days to go!

Perhaps you should get a big map - turn round and round and round, then spring on it with a pin in your hand?

Risky. One might end up selecting Basingstoke, and given how single-minded Dr Bones can be she would feel she had to go there.

not a bad idea! I could cut out the areas I definately dont want to go and then spin the rest....I did think about hiring a boat, but they are SOOOOO expensive!

A friend of mine is just back from doing the 4 Counties Ring - it took her inexperienced group (and dog)a week.

Perhaps you could do a boat swap with someone? Although perhaps a swap with Maffi's boat rather than your floating slum?

Miss T. My boat, I have you know, is a palace, a beauty, and a delight.

Speaking of Basingstoke, you now should have a beautifully illustrated guide to the Basingstoke Canal, and you know chums not far away. You could spend three days to get there and then the rest of the holiday stranded between Woking and Farnborough because the cut's dried out.

Only when you're on board, surely. Otherwise on your own admission it's full of horrid small bitey things.
