Bones is Shocked!

Would you believe it?! Someone has suggested to me that champagne doesn't go with every occasion!!! I feel quite faint - it is really rather simple... change the occasion!
I think I shall have to go for a lie down.

champagne doesn't go with very many occasions, it sticks in my gullet.

some of the regional sparkling french wines are much nicer

honey is bonkers.

I don't mind a cremant de bourgogne or similar every now and again and good ones are clearly better than crap champagne but good champagne is the best.

And it is the most flexible wine in the world - it really suits almost anything. I wouldn't drink it with a fuck-off steak though.

have you tried vouvrais from the tours region?
that ios by far more drinkable than champers dahrling, and believe me I have tried lots of different champagnes just to be sure.

Vouvray petillant can be tasty (I've spent a bit of time in the Loire - if you're around those parts Chinon is a wonderful town). You can't generalise - it's all about the producer. A wonderful artisan cremant de bourgogne or de loire will be better than bloody Moet NV any day, but I would rather have krug than anything else.

Also, how can a Bond girl not like champagne? It is against all the rules of nature ;-)

a bond girl that is currently hooked up with a man from the loire region.. and has been the past 3 years or so .she is easily swayed by offers of free vouvray, and other tours-rean type wines.
I shall be over in that region in november for a bit, i maybe taking the car.... it may be coming back fuller, with slightly compressed suspension at the back...
I wont be taking the aston this time, simply not enough boot space.
