I take it you are not in the "it's closed so move on" camp
I'm not sure what camp I am in... but I did take a picture of it as I went past, although never used its facilities (or knew what they were) when I was on the southern Oxford. I did however sign the petition to keep it. As I sailed by and registered its presence I did think it was a complete mess (are boatyards ever tidy) - I used the pumpout at College cruisers next door. There were always plenty of boats, and it certainly appeared to be thriving with activity. I don't agree with selling off waterside land to make elite properties! I am sure plenty could have been done to the site which would have enhanced the area. I had better get my coat!
Hi Bones, The Government 'Planning' Inspector said no to developers blocks of flats in Jericho. One reason being replacement not good in comparasome. Thing is present community co-opish project has maximum hauled boat space of 3. Is that viable re a longterm DIY friendly boatyard?
Any examples of contrast between DIY and 'Yard only works' re boat numbers servicable please? From a Riverite
